These two fish were caught from the Pleasure Lake.
Francis Hatch caught this 10lb 4ozs Mirror carp from peg 5 on luncheon meat and Eric Cook caught a Common carp from peg 31 on paste on the deck.
The Teams of Four match on Saturday 14th June will not be using Colton Lake and we will now put two sections on Railway Lake.
We have rectified the problem but following an oxygen crash at Colton we will not be fishing the lake over the weekend in order for the fish to have time to recover fully without being held in keepnets. Instead we will put 2 sections on Railway Lake.
The draw is still at Barford at 9.30am.
Details on the Maver Pairs event which is being fished on Wednesday 25th June can be found under Special Events or by clicking here.
This was held yesterday and I'm pretty sure it rained all day!! Many thanks to John, Nigel and Nick who stuck it out in the wet and thanks to those of you who braved the weather to have a go on the pellet waggler rods.
It was though a little bit of a wash out!! The positives from the event is that it gave Daniel a better opportunity to check out the Spro products - he was most impressed with the new pellet waggler rods and there's some other very good rods around the £50 mark, which we may be featuring in the shop. The luggage we viewed was extremely well made, and well worth a look.
And what can I say about those floats!!?? Very good - almost indestructable and very versatile. They land flat so they don't dive under the water and spook your fish when fishing mid-water and your hook bait always lands behind your float (good when fishing to an island or far bank).
The other plus is that we hope that John will be returning again - but on a less wet day!!
Below is Robert Mitchell, age 12 who fished the Pleasure Lake peg 12. Robert caught this 12lb 2ozs Ghost carp on banded pellet fished on the bottom with a waggler feeding 6mm pellets.
This is Daniel Craske (Sheringham) who caught carp to 12lb from peg 16 on the Pleasure Lake whilst fishing mid-water on banded pellet with his fatther Michael who was on peg 15.
More details of this event can be found under Special Events or by clicking here.
We are holding a "Spares" list so if you don't have enough for a team we can put one together for you!
This match will count for the Fox Match Accumulator League.
