Both lakes have been fishing well but the Top Lake has been producing some great weights of crucians.
Mr Blanch (Wicklewood) fished peg 9 and was fishing the margins with a soft hook pellet (Green Lipped Mussel) over Barford 4mm pellet and had around 50 crucians! He was feeding both margins up and alternating between the two - catch a fish from one side, put in a bit more feed and leave it to fish the other side and so on.
We may have a few pegs free on the Top Lake tomorrow (sunday). Opening full time (Tuesday - Sunday) from the 1st April.
Not long now before we open for day tickets full time but this Saturday we have the Top and Pleasure Lake free so will be doing day tickets on Saturday 27th March. We open at 8am and all tickets are from the shop.
We have lakes available for day tickets this Saturday 20th March and Sunday 21st March.
The Top and Pleasure Lake are avaialble both days and fish are coming out to maggot and soft expanda pellets over Barford pellet.
We have some day tickets available on the Pleasure Lake this Saturday 13th March. If the five day forcast is right (it varies) it looks as though it may only go down to 0 at night once this week - so all looking good - come on spring!!
The shop is open from 8am where day tickets can be brought from. The final winter league match is this Sunday - draw at Barford.

Today the decision was made by the Tuesday regulars to finish the Silver Fish match series. The £100 for the best weight was held by Lewis Murwaski from the start of the season but was taken by Tony Anderson who's weight of 39lb took the top price a few weeks ago.
Next week's match on Tuesday 9th March will be on Railway Lake, the following week on the Pleasure Lake at Barford and the last two matches of March fished on Railway Lake.
Dave Shailes won the Open match on Saturday with 77 - 15 from peg 4 on maggot in the margins. He also won the golden peg which was £200!
2nd placed was local photgrapher Roger Harris who fished peg 38 and swapped between hookable pellet on the bottom at 13 metres and a maggot feeder to the far bank with maggot hoookbait. Roger also won the £25 Fox Match Mania draw which is a random draw at the end of the match and whichever placing is drawn out - that person receives £25 worth of Fox Match vouchers. Roger also came second on the previous Thursday's match with 42lb on Railway. Not a bad week!
