New Online Booking System for Fish-O-Mania Tickets 2017

New system for Fish 'O' Mania XXIV tickets - on sale from 30th January

Tickets for Fish 'O' Mania XXIV will go on sale from 30th January using a new online booking system, making the allocation of places quicker, easier and significantly more efficient.

The Angling Trust has invested heavily in improving the booking system which allows anglers to book, pay and receive their tickets instantaneously.

Tickets will be released in two rounds - Round 1 will be open from 10.30am on Monday, 30th January, until midnight on Thursday, 9th February, and anglers will be able to book a maximum of 2 tickets. This is to enable more anglers the opportunity to take part.

Round 2 will open at 10.30am on Tuesday, 14th February, and remain open until the final qualifying round in June. There will be no restriction in Round 2 on the number of tickets anglers will be able to book.

Further changes will see the removal of the reserve lists. Cancellations will now be re-listed in the online system and sold on a first come, first served basis. Anglers will also have the option to subscribe for free for ticket news including information about cancelled places.

Ben Thompson, Senior Competitions Manager for the Angling Trust, said: "The historical ticketing system was a lottery and it has been a frustration for many that luck of the draw dictated whether people had the opportunity to fish in this brilliant competition.

"This solution ensures that successful applicants will get the chance to fish in at least one qualifier and those who want to enter multiple events can still do so.

"It is a fairer, more efficient system to that used in the past and it is very easy to use. Over the course of 2017 we will use this booking system for all of our competitions."

Guidance on how to book tickets for the competition will be available on the Angling Trust website from Wednesday, 18th January.

A total of 3,820 tickets will be available to anglers as they try to add their name to the illustrious list of previous winners by taking the prestigious title of Fish 'O' Mania champion and scooping a cool £50,000 in the process.
